Artificial Sweeteners Do Not Prevent Obesity

Use of Artifical Sweeteners Not Good For Your Health

An article in a past publication of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2012;96:640) named, Low-calorie Sweetener Consumption Increasing in these united States. Information within the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey record low-calorie sweetener (LCS) consumption during the years 1999 through 2000 and compared to 2007 through 2008. use by kids of LCS doubled to 12.5% and from 19% to 24% among men and women respectively. Also the upsurge in LCS use was not specific to any subgroups in adolescents and adults.

We are over supplied with manufactured sweeteners such as aspartame Nutrasweet and sucralose Splenda.  Almost all of the low fat food products offered include a man-made sweetener. The American Diabetes Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that man made sweeteners are a safe and efficient method to decrease calorie intake and allow shedding weight. They're incorrect.

In the past thirty years people continually ingested more and more man-made sweeteners and no drop in our nationwide obesity complication. The complete opposite has happened - on average people are becoming considerably more overweight. At this time, two-thirds of people of these united States have weight problems and one-third are obese. Maybe the only link that may be suggested is that making use of synthetic sweeteners is identified with unhealthy weight.

Autoimmune and thyroid problems, diabetic issues, unhealthy weight, and many cancers are linked to aspartame. Animal testing of sucralose show it's connected together with diminished rate of growth in infants, as well as anemia, thyroid problems, mineral inadequacies (particularly magnesium) and different organ problems in adults. Warning: heating a synthetic sweetener produces formaldehydes and dioxins.

A few weeks ago I dumped splenda and switched to Agave Nector. Do you know if Agave has any bad side effects?
Doctor: Stevia is recommended by the American Board of Immunology and Anti-Aging Medicine. Agave nector is 11 on glycemic index where Stevia is a 2. Although agave is cut from a cactus plant we need to look at the molecular similarities there may or may not exist with corn syrup also. Stevia is also exogenic. The glycemic index or glycaemic index (GI) references how quickly sugar in the blood rises after eating specific foods. Also chlorogenic acid helps control negative effects of sugar. Reply
